Day four @ The Gadget Show Live
Today has been as busy as ever on Otone Audio’s stand at The Gadget Show Live and we’ve been delighted with the amount of audiophiles that have come to see us and stay for a chat, check out the full range and there seems to be genuine interest and excitement about the systems.
The gaming area has been a raging success again, and over the last few days, it’s really put our powerful Stilo 5.1 system through its paces. Stilo 5.1 offers intest surround sound with a total output of 165W. When this one gets hooked up, you should be prepared for your whole body to shake in appreciation when the volume is maxed up!
Everyone has agreed that the Stilo 5.1 packs a very weighty punch, especially for the asking price of £169.99. From the conversations we have had with gamers today, it seems that many have quite a limited sound set up at home for gaming – but want more.
They either hook their console up to a TV or some even hook it to an old stereo, but are not totally happy with the sound (especially now they’ve heard what they could have!). I think we’ve managed to convince quite a few gamers to believe that that gaming with surround sound is 100% essential!
With all this talk of creating a full on sensory experience, we decided to focus some of our attention on 3D TV systems – which are the talk of The Gadget Show Live today. We’ve managed to look at the latest offerings from Sony, Samsung and Epson and we were fairly impressed, but not blown away, with what we saw and felt that the 3d finish was a little flat on them all! I hope we won’t be dodging bullets again for saying that!
Here at Otone, we still think that 3D TV has a few surprises up its sleeve in the future, and will develop to become an even more perfect companion to Otone’s surround sound. 3D TV is becoming more commonplace, and it seems the boundaries of home entertainment performance are being pushed from all directions to give a top performance – exciting times!
We’ve been hearing regular screams and shouts of terror from the nearby zip-wire and the anti-gravity seat that have had a constant stream of traffic keen to try them out. Tomorrow, we plan to get one of the Otone team on the zip wire for one of the final action shot of the show!
